How we research

Our guides are built from careful desk research, not from claiming to have been everywhere. Every fact shows where it came from and when it was last checked, so you can judge it for yourself.

01

Gather

Official sites, transport operators, published accessibility information and recent public reviews.

02

Check

Hours, prices and access details are confirmed against a primary source and dated.

03

Plan

Days are paced for real people, with rest windows for families and distances between stops.

04

Re-check

Places are reviewed again before their verification is a year old.

What the labels mean

Verified The key facts were checked against a primary source, such as the official website or operator, on the date shown.

Research draft Compiled from background sources but not yet checked against a primary source. Treat it as a starting point.

When we have not confirmed opening hours, a price or an accessibility detail, we leave it blank and say "Not yet verified". We would rather show a gap than a guess.

Traveller feedback

Review summaries describe recurring themes from public reviews, for example queues at certain times or steps at an entrance. We paraphrase rather than quote, and each summary says how many reviews were read and over what period. We never write or invent reviews.

Families and accessibility

Each place is checked for four things that matter when travelling with a baby, a stroller or reduced mobility:

Each is rated Easy, Manageable or Difficult only after we have found reliable information. Until then the guide lists what still needs checking, so you know what to ask on arrival.

What we don't claim

Unless a guide says otherwise, we have not visited every place in person. Things change: venues close for restoration, timetables change with the seasons and prices go up. Always confirm with the official source before you travel, especially opening hours and transport.
